A resource developed by Young Christian Workers/Young Christian Students (YCW/YCS) for parishes, communities and school groups to ensure the World Youth Day (WYD) experience lives on beyond WYD itself. It provides activities and suggestions for parishes and pilgrim groups to use after WYD. While many of the activities use the WYD experience as a focus for reflection, many of the activities could easily be adapted for groups that didn’t go to WYD.
You can download a free copy of this resource here. If you use this resoucre please acknowledge YCW/YCS as the authors.
This resource was developed by the United States Catholic Bishops Conference in response to WYD 2002 held in Toronto, Canada. It provides practical advice for getting a youth ministry group started in your community as well as a program of formation sessions. While some of the language used can be very American – you can easily translate the ideas into an Australian context.
