IN 1980, Fr Kevin Mogg was appointed Episcopal Vicar for Social Services by Archbishop Frank Little, and thus began the formal work that developed over time into Catholic Social Services Victoria.
ON 18 APRIL, Melton Shire invited Fr Michael Moody and the St Dominic’s parishioners to council chambers for the inaugural Melton Shire Heritage Awards for our ‘little’ Church of St Dominic’s.
On Sunday 29 April, official guests joined over 800 members of the St Patrick’s Primary School, Kilmore community for the official blessing and opening of the new school in Conway street.
A sister school relationship has been established between Our Lady Help of Christians Primary School, East Brunswick and Maria Bintang Laut School (Mary Star of the Sea School) Bandung Indonesia.

On Sunday 25 March 2012, Holy Spirit Church Ringwood North celebrated its 40th Anniversary with a joyful open air Mass followed by picnic rug lunch and family entertainment barn dance led by ‘Bushwahzee Band’– the date marking the beginning of the parish.

On 14 January 2012, Archbishop Denis Hart created the 220th parish of the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne—the parish of Mernda/Whittlesea.On Wednesday 29 February Archbishop Hart installed the Very Rev. Martin Ashe EV as parish priest of the new parish.

Our Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation group (JPIC) which was initiated by Sr Anne C.P in 2011 decided to run an open event for International Women’s day. They felt the theme of the day ‘unite against violence towards women’ was a good one to open up for reflection and discussion with the wider community.
